Rusty Marsh began as Executive Director of the Augusta Rescue Mission on September 1, 2009. Previously, he was the South Carolina Administrator for the Golden Harvest Food Banks Aiken Distribution Center in Aiken, SC. While there, Rusty chaired the Aiken/Barnwell Housing and Homeless Coalition and was on the Board of the Midlands Area Consortium for the Homeless. He holds an Associate of Science from the University of South Carolina Aiken and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Augusta College. Rusty resides in North Augusta, SC with wife, Ann, son, Chris, and daughter, Margaret. They attend New Life Christian Center in Augusta, GA.
Chris Jones has served in some form of ministry for over twelve years. After receiving his B.A. in Pastoral Christian Ministries with an emphasis in Pastor Care from Oral Roberts University, Chris served as Assistant to the Director at Broad Street Ministry Center in Augusta, GA. Soon after, Chris took an associate pastorate in Anniston, AL where he met his wife Priscilla. Together they ministered in music, to youth, and to college and career singles. Chris enjoys teaching, writing, and counseling. He is currently a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors with whom he is completing his certificate in Addiction and Recovery. Chris enjoys cooking, reading, and writing.
Jerry J.D. Doyle
J.D. is a living testimony of how Christ can rebuild a broken life. He came to the mission in 2011 as a man needing a second chance. He entered the Residential Program, and through patience and a lot of hard work, he successfully made it through all three phases. He spent about a year in Phase III, and served as a volunteer overnight leader. When the position for Operations Manager came available, J.D. was chosen as the newest addition to the A.R.M. team. J.D. enjoys reading and studying theology and is also a fulltime crew leader for a family owned roofing company.
Amanda is an Augusta native and has been serving at A.R.M. for almost a year and a half. Her daily responsibilities include maintaining the business office, handling monetary donations, and assisting the Executive Director. She has a heart after God and for broken people and is currently completing her certificate in Advanced Discipleship Training through Christian Life Today. Amanda enjoys reading, encouraging people, and serving in Christian ministry.
Steve is a graduate of the Augusta Rescue Missions Residential Worker Program, and he is the newest member to the A.R.M. team. With years of restaurant management experience under his belt, he voluntarily served as a kitchen crew leader until he completed the program and was offered the job as Kitchen Manager. Steve enjoys listening to Bible teaching tapes and is really into Bible Research.
